WHERE TO STAY NEAR MACKINAC ISLAND AND THE STRAITS AREA
Where you stay becomes part of the overall experience when eloping in the Straits area. Many couples choose to turn their elopement into a small getaway, arriving a day or two early and exploring the area before their ceremony.
Staying on Mackinac Island offers a uniquely peaceful experience, especially in the early morning and evening hours when day visitors leave and the island quiets down. We highly suggest bringing your own bikes and headlamps to bike and hike around the island at night to experience and explore the island like very few people do!
